Key Responsibilities:
- Support the School Business Manager in the day-to-day management and maintenance of the school site.
- Act as a key holder and ensure site security at all times.
- Carry out general maintenance and repairs in line with Health and Safety legislation.
- Maintain the upkeep of the school grounds and ensure all areas are secure.
- Conduct weekly checks to ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards.
- Identify and report any hazards promptly to the School Business Manager.
- Liaise with local contractors to ensure planned maintenance is completed effectively.
- Assist in updating risk assessments and management plans as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
- Experience with managing contractors or maintenance schedules.
- Knowledge of building management systems or software.
