The Opportunity:

As an Athletic Development Coach, you will play a key role in supporting the athletic development of students aged 13 to 18. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and inspiring environment, delivering high-quality athletic training aligned with the school’s philosophy and principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver athletic training in large, medium, and small group settings.
  • Support the development of students across a wide range of sports.
  • Work closely with the Head of Athletic Development and expert staff to enhance student performance.
  • Contribute to the school’s boarding programme, including evening duties and weekend commitments where applicable.
  • Participate in pre-school training camps during non-term time.
  • Engage in a formal personal development programme to enhance coaching and leadership skills.
  • Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure a cohesive and positive student experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A graduate-level qualification or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching or working with young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in athletic development or sports coaching.
  • Familiarity with a range of sports and training methodologies.
  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of youth development and sports psychology.
