The Opportunity:
As an Athletic Development Coach, you will play a key role in supporting the athletic development of students aged 13 to 18. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and inspiring environment, delivering high-quality athletic training aligned with the school’s philosophy and principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver athletic training in large, medium, and small group settings.
- Support the development of students across a wide range of sports.
- Work closely with the Head of Athletic Development and expert staff to enhance student performance.
- Contribute to the school’s boarding programme, including evening duties and weekend commitments where applicable.
- Participate in pre-school training camps during non-term time.
- Engage in a formal personal development programme to enhance coaching and leadership skills.
- Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure a cohesive and positive student experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A graduate-level qualification or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in coaching or working with young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in athletic development or sports coaching.
- Familiarity with a range of sports and training methodologies.
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of youth development and sports psychology.
