The Opportunity:

The Attendance and Welfare Officer will play a vital role in supporting trainee teachers throughout their journey with the school. This position involves monitoring attendance, providing welfare support, and ensuring trainees receive the necessary engagement and administrative assistance to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and support the attendance of trainee teachers across the academic year.
  • Provide welfare support to trainee teachers, ensuring their well-being and engagement.
  • Work closely with the Administration Office Manager and Senior Leadership Team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Administer trainee engagement activities and enhancements throughout the year.
  • Support the management of administrative systems related to trainee progression and development.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on trainee attendance and welfare.
  • Collaborate with leaders to ensure trainees have a successful journey from initial contact to graduation.
  • Provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team and key managers.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • English and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) GCSE level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team.
  • Flexible approach and willingness to take initiative.

Preferred

  • Experience in education or training environments.
  • Knowledge of administrative systems and processes.
  • Experience in supporting trainee or student welfare.
