As an Attendance Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting student achievement by ensuring high attendance rates and addressing barriers to learning. This is a key position that directly impacts student outcomes and school performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor student attendance data to identify trends and patterns.
- Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and pastoral teams to improve attendance and reduce absenteeism.
- Develop and implement strategies to support students who are at risk of poor attendance.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on attendance performance.
- Coordinate with external agencies and support services to address complex attendance issues.
- Promote a culture of attendance and punctuality across the school community.
- Support the implementation of school policies and procedures related to attendance.
- Engage with students and families to encourage positive attendance behaviors.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a similar role within education.
- Strong understanding of attendance management and student support systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in using attendance management software and systems.
Preferred
- Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Experience in developing and delivering attendance improvement strategies.
- Experience in working with diverse student populations and families.
