The Opportunity:

As an Attendance Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting student achievement by ensuring high attendance rates and addressing barriers to learning. This is a key position that directly impacts student outcomes and school performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor student attendance data to identify trends and patterns.
  • Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and pastoral teams to improve attendance and reduce absenteeism.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students who are at risk of poor attendance.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on attendance performance.
  • Coordinate with external agencies and support services to address complex attendance issues.
  • Promote a culture of attendance and punctuality across the school community.
  • Support the implementation of school policies and procedures related to attendance.
  • Engage with students and families to encourage positive attendance behaviors.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a similar role within education.
  • Strong understanding of attendance management and student support systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience in using attendance management software and systems.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Experience in developing and delivering attendance improvement strategies.
  • Experience in working with diverse student populations and families.
