The Opportunity:
As an Attendance Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting students and improving attendance rates. This is a chance to make a real impact on the lives of young people in a supportive and growing school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor student attendance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve attendance and engagement among students.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and parents to support students who are at risk of poor attendance.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on attendance patterns and interventions.
- Liaise with external agencies and support services to ensure students receive the necessary help.
- Use MS Office software and school databases to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Ensure all attendance-related procedures are followed in line with school policies and legal requirements.
- Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Degree or significant demonstrable experience in improving attendance in a school setting.
- Experience of working in an administrative setting.
- Understanding of the societal challenges affecting young people and their impact on attendance.
- Proficiency in using MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook) and school databases.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred
- Experience in pastoral care or student support.
- Experience in a school or education setting with a leadership focus.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and provide excellent customer service.
