The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track student attendance data to identify trends and patterns.
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to improve attendance rates and address barriers to attendance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with poor attendance.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to support students and families in need.
  • Promote positive attendance culture through communication and engagement activities.
  • Support the school's transition to its new facility and continued growth.
  • Contribute to the development of attendance policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a school or educational setting, preferably in attendance or pastoral roles.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills with the ability to interpret attendance data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, staff, and parents.
  • Commitment to improving student outcomes and attendance rates.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Multi-Academy Trust or similar educational organisation.
  • Knowledge of attendance legislation and best practice.
  • Experience with data management systems or software.
  • Background in student welfare or support services.
