Beacon Coordinator needed to support SEND and Inclusion provision at a school.

The Opportunity:
As a Beacon Coordinator, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the school's SEND and Inclusion provision, ensuring a purposeful and productive environment for students on placements. You will play a key role in supporting students' reintegration into mainstream learning and fostering a positive, inclusive culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Beacon provision to ensure a calm and purposeful environment.
- Liaise with teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as parents and carers, to provide targeted support for students.
- Ensure the highest standard of behaviour and learning at all times.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to support students during their placements.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support plans and make necessary adjustments.
- Promote a culture of inclusion and respect among students and staff.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent and effective student support.
- Prepare students for successful reintegration into mainstream lessons.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards it.
- Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age.
- Strong ability to relate well to children and young people.
Preferred
- Experience in SEND or inclusion support settings.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies.
- Experience in working within a school or educational environment.
