The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Behaviour Support Lead to lead and coordinate inclusive practice across the school. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all students, especially those with additional needs, receive the support they need to thrive academically and socially. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders and external agencies to create a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate behaviour support and intervention strategies across the school
  • Develop and implement inclusive practices that support students with additional needs
  • Work collaboratively with pastoral teams, external agencies and families to provide holistic support
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing across the school community
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support interventions
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to behaviour and safeguarding
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on inclusive and supportive practices
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in behaviour support and intervention
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with students with additional needs or barriers to learning
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Commitment to promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting
  • Leadership experience within a pastoral or support team
  • Experience with pastoral care and student welfare
  • Familiarity with the latest developments in inclusive education and behaviour support
