The Opportunity:
A Biology Teacher is needed to deliver a stimulating and rigorous curriculum to students across Grades 6 to 12. This role offers the chance to inspire future scientists and thinkers, while contributing to the school’s strong academic and pastoral culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Biology across the Senior School, ensuring a deep understanding of scientific concepts and practical skills.
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that promote critical thinking and curiosity.
- Support students of all abilities, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
- Contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme and pastoral responsibilities, including form tutoring.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Biology curriculum.
- Participate in professional development and staff training initiatives.
- Provide regular feedback and assessments to support student progress.
- Encourage and support student participation in science-related extracurricular activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Biology.
- Experience teaching Science at the Secondary level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and take on additional responsibilities.
Preferred
- Experience with the IB Diploma Programme or other international curricula.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Experience in developing and delivering enrichment activities.
- Fluency in a second language.
