The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, imaginative and varied Biology lessons across all key stages.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of a broad and balanced science curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving excellent academic results and fostering a lifelong love of science.
  • Participate in the school’s extensive co-curricular programme and contribute to extra-curricular activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high standard of teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
  • Engage in professional development and training opportunities provided by the school.
  • Uphold the school’s values and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching other science subjects.
  • Previous experience in an independent or academic school setting.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
  • Familiarity with the Independent Schools Teacher Induction Panel (ISTIP).
