The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Biology Teacher to join our Secondary team and deliver high-quality IBDP Biology and IGCSE Coordinated Science lessons. This role presents an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal development within a supportive and inspiring educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach IBDP Biology and IGCSE Coordinated Science to a range of students.
  • Contribute to Key Stage 3 Science classes where appropriate.
  • Support the school’s Core Principles and Strategic Values of Challenge, Community, and Care.
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Participate in professional development and staff training initiatives.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Biology.
  • Experience teaching IBDP Biology and IGCSE Coordinated Science.
  • Commitment to the school’s Christian ethos and values.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and multi-faith environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with the UK National Curriculum and IB Diploma Programme.
  • Familiarity with the Skills for Life Programme and student well-being initiatives.
  • Experience in developing and leading extra-curricular activities.
  • Previous experience in a school leadership or mentorship role.
