The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Biology Teacher to join a highly successful department and contribute to the education of students aged 11 to 18. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who is passionate about Biology and committed to student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver engaging and challenging lessons tailored to the needs of students across the Senior School.
- Set high standards and support students in achieving their full potential.
- Demonstrate a strong interest in the Biology curriculum and contribute to enrichment activities.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Work collaboratively with the department to ensure a cohesive and stimulating learning environment.
- Support students in developing a deep understanding of Biology through innovative teaching methods.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of extra-curricular Biology-related events and activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or willingness to obtain it.
- Proven experience in teaching Biology at the secondary level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and academic achievement.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and take initiative.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering lessons to a wide range of abilities.
- Involvement in extra-curricular activities or science clubs.
- Experience with the use of technology in the classroom.
- Previous experience in a school rated 'Excellent' by an independent inspectorate.
