The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and qualified Biology Teacher to join our dynamic department and inspire the next generation of scientists. This role involves teaching Biology at all levels, including A Level, and contributing to a stimulating and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping student achievement and fostering a passion for science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Biology and Key Stage Three Science.
  • Support students in developing independent thinking and academic excellence.
  • Contribute to the teaching of a second science subject at GCSE level if required.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular and pastoral activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and effective teaching strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Biology and science education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Biology education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology, including A Level and GCSE levels.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to school life.
  • Commitment to student welfare and inclusive education.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching a second science subject at GCSE level.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technology in education.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for inspiring students and fostering a love of science.
