The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Biology Teacher to support students in Key Stage 4 and 5. The role involves teaching CIE IGCSE and A-Level Biology, with a focus on delivering high-quality instruction that prepares students for future success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in CIE IGCSE and A-Level Biology.
- Prepare and assess students according to the National Curriculum of England and Wales.
- Support students through individualised instruction and formative assessments.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and teaching strategies.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
- Provide pastoral support to students through form tutoring, if applicable.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attainment.
- Stay updated on developments in Biology education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Key Stage 4 and 5 Biology.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum of England and Wales and CIE IGCSE and A-Level Biology.
- Fluent in English with a strong understanding of grammar and usage.
- Proven ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience with form tutoring.
- Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
- Experience in a British Curriculum or international school setting.
