The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated Biology Teacher to join our Science department and inspire students to reach their full potential. This role is central to delivering a curriculum that fosters a deep understanding of ecological and environmental issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Biology at GCSE and A-Level, ensuring high-quality delivery and student engagement.
- Deliver Science lessons across Key Stage 3, with a focus on general science and Physics.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that align with the school’s ecological and sustainability vision.
- Support students of all abilities and promote outstanding academic outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Science department to enhance curriculum design and delivery.
- Foster a caring and nurturing classroom environment that encourages student well-being and achievement.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives that promote sustainability and environmental awareness.
- Engage in professional development and contribute to the wider school community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Native-level English language skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related field, with a PGCE in Education and QTS or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Science in the UK or a reputable British school overseas.
- A proven track record of achieving outstanding GCSE results.
- Demonstrated ability to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Physics at GCSE/IGCSE and A-Level.
- Background in experiential and outdoor learning.
- Strong commitment to sustainability and ecological education.
