The Opportunity:
A Biology Teacher with ESS is sought to deliver engaging, inquiry-based science lessons at both General Science and IB Diploma levels. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal development within a vibrant international community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons in Biology and General Science.
- Support the academic and personal growth of students in Grades 9 and 10.
- Teach IB Diploma Biology and contribute to curriculum development.
- Participate actively in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
- Promote student-centered, inquiry-based learning approaches.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Stay current with developments in science education and pedagogy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Degree in Biology or a closely related subject.
- Teaching qualification recognised for upper secondary schools.
- Proven teaching experience in secondary science, including IB Diploma Biology.
- Strong commitment to student-centered, inquiry-based learning.
- Confident, flexible, and collaborative professional with experience in international school environments.
Preferred
- Ability to teach or willingness to contribute to Environmental Systems & Societies (ESS).
- Swiss/EU/EFTA citizenship.
