The Opportunity:

As a Boarding Assistant, you will support the academic and pastoral development of children aged 3–13 and contribute to the wider operations and marketing of the school. This is a hands-on role that offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in a vibrant and supportive school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the academic and pastoral development of students aged 3–13 under the guidance of the Head of Boarding.
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations and management of the boarding house.
  • Contribute to the marketing and promotion of the school and its boarding programme.
  • Engage with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of enrichment activities and events.
  • Support the implementation of the school’s curriculum and PSB framework.
  • Ensure the smooth running of boarding house facilities and routines.
  • Collaborate with other staff to promote the school’s values and mission.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their academic and pastoral development.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting is advantageous.

Preferred

  • Experience in a boarding or prep school environment.
  • Knowledge of child development and pastoral care.
  • Familiarity with the PSB framework or similar educational programmes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with marketing or promotional activities within an educational context.
