The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated BTEC Business Teacher to deliver high-quality, inspiring lessons and support student success within a newly-established Sixth Form College. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education and committed to student growth and achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, resource, and deliver imaginative, interactive, and inspiring schemes of learning that ensure excellent student progress and attainment.
• Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that supports student development and well-being.
• Maintain and establish high standards of positive behaviour for learning across the school.
• Provide enriching extra-curricular opportunities that enhance the student experience.
• Monitor student progress regularly through assessments and set clear targets using AFL strategies.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with parents to keep them informed of student progress and achievements.
• Contribute actively to the pastoral care and well-being programme of the school.
• Support and lead academic and careers guidance initiatives within the Sixth Form College.
• Uphold and promote all school policies with consistency and diligence.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Honors Degree in IT and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching IT BTEC International Level 3.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
• Strong IT and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience in curriculum leadership or a desire to take on such a role.
