The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced BTEC IT Teacher to join our newly-established Sixth Form College. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, inspiring lessons that motivate and engage students, while contributing to a vibrant and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of IT education in our institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, resource, and deliver imaginative, interactive, and inspiring schemes of learning that ensure students make excellent progress and attain at high levels.
- Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that supports student well-being and academic success.
- Maintain and establish high standards of positive behaviour for learning across the school.
- Provide enriching extra-curricular and enrichment opportunities that enhance student development.
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and set clear targets using AFL strategies.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents to report on student progress and achievements.
- Contribute to academic and careers guidance, and lead on enrichment activities that support the BTEC programme.
- Uphold and promote all school policies consistently and diligently.
- Support student welfare and guidance, aligning with Dubai’s vision and the opportunities in higher education across the UAE and beyond.
- Contribute to the effective working of the Sixth Form College and self-leadership initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Honors Degree in IT and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years' experience teaching IT BTEC International Level 3.
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding teaching and learning.
- Commitment to equality of opportunity and student welfare.
- Strong IT and interpersonal communication skills.
