As a Business and Economics Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the academic and personal development of students across multiple key stages. You will deliver engaging lessons in Business Studies and Economics, preparing students for GCSE and A Level qualifications. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Business Studies and Economics across Key Stages 4 and 5.
- Plan and sequence curriculum content to ensure students achieve outstanding progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Support students in developing essential skills for university and future careers.
- Engage students in extra-curricular activities, such as the Business Academy.
- Stay up to date with current economic events and policies to enhance teaching.
- Contribute to wider school responsibilities and pastoral care.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status
- A degree in Business or Economics, or equivalent
- Evidence of studying Economics at A Level or degree level
- Experience teaching Economics and Business Studies at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5
- Strong curriculum knowledge and ability to sequence learning effectively
- A record of delivering high-quality teaching and securing student progress
- Commitment to wider school responsibilities
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
Preferred
- Experience in delivering vocational courses
- Experience teaching A Level Economics
- Vocational experience
