The Opportunity:

As a Business and Economics Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the academic and personal development of students across multiple key stages. You will deliver engaging lessons in Business Studies and Economics, preparing students for GCSE and A Level qualifications. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Business Studies and Economics across Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Plan and sequence curriculum content to ensure students achieve outstanding progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Support students in developing essential skills for university and future careers.
  • Engage students in extra-curricular activities, such as the Business Academy.
  • Stay up to date with current economic events and policies to enhance teaching.
  • Contribute to wider school responsibilities and pastoral care.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • A degree in Business or Economics, or equivalent
  • Evidence of studying Economics at A Level or degree level
  • Experience teaching Economics and Business Studies at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5
  • Strong curriculum knowledge and ability to sequence learning effectively
  • A record of delivering high-quality teaching and securing student progress
  • Commitment to wider school responsibilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering vocational courses
  • Experience teaching A Level Economics
  • Vocational experience
