The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Business and Economics Teacher to join a highly motivated team at a school known for its outstanding results and progressive approach to education. This role offers the chance to teach Key Stage 4 and 5, with opportunities to contribute to both A-Level and International Baccalaureate programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Business Studies and Economics lessons to Key Stage 4 and 5 students.
  • Contribute to the development and design of the curriculum, incorporating cognitive science principles.
  • Support the school's extra-curricular programme and engage students beyond the classroom.
  • Participate in professional development and share best practices with colleagues.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to ensure a consistent and innovative approach to teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
  • Maintain a well-ordered and supportive learning environment in line with the school's high standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Business and Economics.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 4 and 5 students, preferably in both A-Level and International Baccalaureate contexts.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to innovate in teaching practice.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to departmental goals.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum design and cognitive science.
  • Background in extra-curricular programme development or leadership.
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate or A-Level teaching frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success in student engagement and achievement.
