The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Business and Economics Teacher to deliver high-quality education to students aged 11–18 in a fully remote environment. This role offers the chance to shape the learning experience of students through innovative online teaching methods and impactful engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and interactive Business and Economics lessons to students in a virtual classroom.
- Design and create high-quality learning content tailored to the needs of students at GCSE and A-level.
- Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with SEND and mental health challenges.
- Utilise a range of teaching techniques and technologies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback aligned with assessment requirements.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages collaboration and critical thinking.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in the Business and Economics curriculum and Edexcel International GCSE and A-level specifications.
- Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to the development of online resources and learning materials.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching the secondary age range (11–18).
- Experience teaching groups of students in a virtual or online setting.
- Strong understanding of assessment for learning and the principles of effective teaching.
- Ability to support students with SEND and mental health challenges in an online environment.
- Commitment to flipped learning and the use of technology in education.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Business and Economics at GCSE and A-level.
- Knowledge of the Edexcel International GCSE and A-level CIE specifications.
- Proven experience of creating innovative online learning content.
- Experience with Edtech tools to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
