The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Business and Economics Teacher to deliver high-quality education to students aged 11–18 in a fully remote environment. This role offers the chance to shape the learning experience of students through innovative online teaching methods and impactful engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive Business and Economics lessons to students in a virtual classroom.
  • Design and create high-quality learning content tailored to the needs of students at GCSE and A-level.
  • Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with SEND and mental health challenges.
  • Utilise a range of teaching techniques and technologies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback aligned with assessment requirements.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages collaboration and critical thinking.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in the Business and Economics curriculum and Edexcel International GCSE and A-level specifications.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to the development of online resources and learning materials.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching the secondary age range (11–18).
  • Experience teaching groups of students in a virtual or online setting.
  • Strong understanding of assessment for learning and the principles of effective teaching.
  • Ability to support students with SEND and mental health challenges in an online environment.
  • Commitment to flipped learning and the use of technology in education.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Business and Economics at GCSE and A-level.
  • Knowledge of the Edexcel International GCSE and A-level CIE specifications.
  • Proven experience of creating innovative online learning content.
  • Experience with Edtech tools to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
