The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Business Management Teacher to join our innovative Humanities Faculty. This role offers the chance to shape the future of students in a school that values creativity, collaboration, and academic achievement. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality Business Management and Economics education at both GCSE and IB levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Business Management and Economics lessons to Key Stage 4 and 5 students.
- Implement and teach the IB Career-related Programme, specifically the Pearson BTEC Business qualification.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the school’s extracurricular programme.
- Support students through pastoral care and tutoring responsibilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and innovative approach to teaching and learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback.
- Stay up to date with current developments in Business Management and Economics education.
- Participate in the school’s professional development and training initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in teaching BTEC Business.
- A degree in Business Management or a relevant subject.
- A recognised teaching qualification.
- Proven experience of teaching Key Stage 4 and 5 students.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and adapt to new teaching methods.
- Commitment to the broader life and values of the school.
Preferred
- Experience teaching IB Diploma courses.
- Experience in teaching the IB Career-Related Programme.
- Experience teaching Economics or another Humanities subject.
- Experience and a desire to teach IB and/or CP Core components.
