The Opportunity:
As a Business Manager, you will be responsible for leading the strategic and operational management of a school and nursery. This is a key role that ensures efficient use of resources, compliance with regulations, and the delivery of high-quality education and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all business functions including finance, HR, premises, health and safety, administration, data protection, ICT, and compliance.
- Work closely with senior leadership to ensure resources are used effectively and statutory requirements are met.
- Support the delivery of high-quality education and care across both the school and nursery.
- Drive operational excellence and manage risk to ensure the long-term success of both settings.
- Contribute to strategic decision-making and ensure alignment with the school's vision and values.
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration with all stakeholders, including staff, parents, and external partners.
- Ensure all business operations are conducted in line with best practices and regulatory standards.
- Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong integrity and professional conduct.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
- Proven experience in managing business operations within an educational setting.
- Ability to influence strategic decision-making and lead effectively.
- Highly organised, flexible, and hardworking with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in areas such as finance, HR, and compliance within a school or similar organisation.
Preferred
- Experience in a Multi Academy Trust or similar educational environment.
- Knowledge of data protection and ICT management.
- Experience with health and safety regulations in a school setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in supporting the delivery of high-quality education and care.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of £46,000 to £50,000 per annum.
