The Opportunity:

We are looking for an inspiring Business Studies and Economics Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across the 11-20 age range. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives while contributing to a vibrant and supportive school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Set and mark regular assignments in line with school policy, providing constructive feedback.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental policies.
  • Support the pastoral care of students, ensuring their wellbeing and safety.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities, including school events and community engagement.
  • Attend staff meetings and contribute to the school’s overall mission and values.
  • Uphold the school’s Behavioural Charter, promoting honesty, integrity, and respect.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge.
  • Experience teaching Business Studies and Economics at GCSE and A Level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with Edexcel and AQA curricula.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities or leadership roles.
  • Familiarity with national educational initiatives and best practices.
  • Experience in tutor responsibilities or pastoral support.
