The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and capable Business Studies Teacher to lead this valued subject at GCSE and A Level. As a one-person department, you will have the autonomy to shape the curriculum and enrichment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons at GCSE and A Level using the Pearson Edexcel specifications.
- Design and implement engaging and challenging curricula tailored to small, mixed ability classes.
- Manage and develop the department, including planning for enrichment and extra-curricular activities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Support the school’s mission by fostering a culture of academic excellence and personal growth.
- Participate in the wider school community, including pastoral and co-curricular activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Business Studies.
- Experience teaching Business Studies at GCSE and A Level.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and personal development.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with the Pearson Edexcel specification.
- Background in developing and leading a department.
- Experience in creating and delivering enrichment activities.
