The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and capable Business Studies Teacher to lead this valued subject at GCSE and A Level. As a one-person department, you will have the autonomy to shape the curriculum and enrichment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons at GCSE and A Level using the Pearson Edexcel specifications.
  • Design and implement engaging and challenging curricula tailored to small, mixed ability classes.
  • Manage and develop the department, including planning for enrichment and extra-curricular activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Support the school’s mission by fostering a culture of academic excellence and personal growth.
  • Participate in the wider school community, including pastoral and co-curricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Business Studies.
  • Experience teaching Business Studies at GCSE and A Level.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and personal development.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with the Pearson Edexcel specification.
  • Background in developing and leading a department.
  • Experience in creating and delivering enrichment activities.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching and learning strategies.
