The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a motivated and experienced Business Studies Teacher to join a thriving department. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student achievement and contribute to a successful, high-performing team. The position starts in September 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Business Studies to students across key stages 4 and 5, including GCSE and BTEC courses.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that promote student engagement and academic success.
- Monitor and assess student progress using a range of assessment methods.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and review the curriculum and teaching resources.
- Support students’ personal development and provide pastoral care when required.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to staff training and development.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject and education sector.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
- Relevant subject knowledge in Business Studies.
- Experience in teaching at Key Stage 4 and 5.
- Commitment to student progress and achievement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching OCR GCSE and BTEC Business courses.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Experience in supporting students with special educational needs.
- Experience in working within a multi-ethnic and inclusive school environment.
