Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons that engage and inspire students.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and progress.
  • Support students with SEMH needs through a structured and empathetic approach.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress and behavior.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience in delivering Quality First Teaching
  • Understanding of behavior management and strategies for supporting students with SEMH needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated resilience and the ability to work in a challenging and supportive environment

Preferred

  • Experience teaching an additional subject
  • Experience working in alternative provision or specialist educational settings
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies
