The Opportunity:

We are seeking an exceptional and inspirational Business Studies Teacher to join our dynamic and high-performing team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver engaging lessons at both GCSE and A Level, contributing to a collaborative and innovative faculty environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons at KS4 and KS5 using OCR and AQA specifications.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that promote student engagement and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Social Sciences Faculty on cross-subject projects and whole-school initiatives.
  • Support students in developing respect for others and a sensitivity to diverse perspectives.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Business Studies curriculum and assessment practices.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as part of a supportive teaching team.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Business Studies.
  • Experience teaching Business Studies at both GCSE and A Level.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos of “children first.”
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the faculty.

Preferred

  • Experience with OCR and AQA examination boards.
  • Background in leading cross-subject initiatives or whole-school projects.
  • Experience with teaching English as a second language or working with diverse student populations.
  • Demonstrated success in raising student achievement and engagement.
