The Opportunity:
As a Business Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the future of business education within the school’s newly established Business School. This is a dynamic and impactful role that combines teaching, curriculum development, and leadership to inspire students and prepare them for the real world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-energy, seminar-style sessions that engage students with contemporary business case studies and real-world applications.
- Develop and maintain a rigorous, relevant, and innovative business curriculum aligned with current educational and industry trends.
- Support and inspire students to achieve academic excellence and cultivate a genuine interest in business and entrepreneurship.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to integrate business education into broader learning experiences.
- Promote and lead the school’s Sixth Form Elective & Enrichment programme with a focus on applied learning and critical thinking.
- Stay current with developments in business, economics, and technology to ensure the curriculum remains up to date.
- Contribute to the pastoral and academic life of the school, supporting students in their personal and academic development.
- Represent the school at events and engage with the wider business community to enhance the programme’s impact.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A strong academic background in Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Experience in teaching at the post-16 level, preferably in a school or higher education setting.
- Excellent classroom practice with the ability to inspire and engage students.
- A commitment to academic excellence and the development of student potential.
- A tech-forward mindset and a passion for curriculum innovation.
- The ability to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world business practices.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum design and development.
- Familiarity with enterprise education and entrepreneurship initiatives.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Experience working in a boarding school environment.
- A track record of delivering successful co-curricular and extracurricular programmes.
