Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in making informed decisions about their academic and career futures.
- Deliver individual and group career guidance sessions tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and other pastoral staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
- Develop and implement career-related programs and activities across the school.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress and outcomes in relation to career development.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students during key transition points.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on student engagement and outcomes.
- Stay up to date with best practices in career guidance and education trends.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A recognised educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent qualification.
- A certified teaching qualification such as a PGCE or QTS with an Early Career Teaching Certificate.
- Extensive experience teaching the National Curriculum of England.
- Proven experience in delivering career guidance and pastoral support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student well-being and personal development.
Preferred
- Experience teaching IGCSE, AS/A Level and BTEC programmes.
- Experience with career counseling or student support in an international school setting.
- Knowledge of British and international education systems.
- Experience with extracurricular activities and leadership programs.
