The Opportunity:
As a Careers Coordinator, you will lead the OS Summer Work Placement Programme and manage online mentoring services, helping to shape career pathways for pupils and alumni. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education and career development, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver the annual work placement programme, including liaising with host companies and promoting opportunities to pupils and alumni.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with Old Stoics, parents, pupils, and host organisations.
- Manage the online mentoring platform and ensure it is effectively used to support career development.
- Collaborate with the Stowe Futures team to integrate careers education into the school’s curriculum.
- Coordinate events and communications to raise awareness of career opportunities and support student engagement.
- Maintain and update CRM systems and manage data related to the programme and mentoring services.
- Provide support and guidance to pupils and alumni in their career planning and development.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and equality policies within all aspects of the role.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Educated to A-level or higher with excellent written English.
- Proven experience in programme coordination, event planning, or careers/employability services.
- Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Competence in CRM systems, spreadsheets, and basic data management tools.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred
- Experience in careers advice or mentoring.
- Knowledge of work experience schemes and marketing.
- Familiarity with safeguarding principles and equality, diversity, and inclusion practices.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Part-time role (15 hours per week, term time only) on an 18-month fixed term contract.
