Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage the school’s buildings, grounds, and facilities to the highest standard.
- Carry out general maintenance, cleaning, and repair tasks as required.
- Ensure the safety and security of the school premises and its occupants.
- Assist with the setup and management of school events and activities.
- Liaise with other staff members to support the smooth running of the school.
- Monitor and report on the condition of buildings and facilities.
- Undertake routine inspections and maintenance of equipment and systems.
- Support the school’s commitment to sustainability and environmental best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in a caretaker or estates role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong practical skills in maintenance, cleaning, and repair tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driving license and access to a vehicle for site visits.
Preferred
- Experience with health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Knowledge of building management systems and maintenance software.
- Previous experience in a large, multi-site organization.
- Understanding of sustainability and environmental practices.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary of £26,400 per annum (£13.72 per hour) plus a monthly call-out allowance.
