The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Caretaker to maintain the safety, cleanliness, and security of the premises while supporting a positive environment for students and staff. This is a key role in ensuring a welcoming and secure campus for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the safety, cleanliness, and security of the school premises
- Carry out minor repairs and maintenance as required
- Support the delivery of a positive and inclusive environment for students and staff
- Assist with the management of school facilities and equipment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with staff to promote a welcoming and secure environment
- Monitor and report on the condition of the premises regularly
- Support the smooth running of school events and activities
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in a similar caretaker or maintenance role
- Understanding of working with individuals with special needs and disabilities
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
- Ability to follow procedures and work independently
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Experience with minor repairs and maintenance
- Flexibility to work outside of standard hours when required
