The Opportunity:
We are seeking Casual Exam Invigilators to support the school’s examination process during term time. This role is ideal for individuals who are responsible, punctual, and enjoy working in a supportive and inclusive school environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of exams and helping students achieve their best.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the smooth and secure conduct of examinations in line with school and examination board guidelines.
- Monitor and supervise students during exams to maintain a fair and focused environment.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of exam rooms as required.
- Report any issues or concerns to the Exams team promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of exam-related activities and follow up on any necessary actions.
- Support students in a calm and approachable manner throughout the examination process.
- Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Attend training sessions provided by the school to ensure full understanding of exam invigilation procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a pressured environment.
- Punctual and reliable with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Willingness to work flexible hours during term time, Monday to Friday.
Preferred
- Experience working in an educational setting.
- Previous experience in exam invigilation or similar roles.
- Familiarity with school policies and procedures.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate (£16.33 per hour) with 12.07% Rolling Holiday Pay.
