The Opportunity:
As a Casual Lettings Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of school facilities and providing a welcoming experience for all users. This position is ideal for someone who is reliable, proactive, and passionate about contributing to a dynamic and supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a designated key holder, opening and closing buildings and sports facilities for scheduled hires.
- Welcome and assist customers hiring school facilities, serving as a visible point of contact.
- Ensure the security of the school’s buildings and grounds, including the use of the security alarm.
- Operate and maintain basic building equipment, such as heating systems and windows.
- Set up or move furniture and equipment as required for bookings and clean/prepare areas afterward.
- Maintain cleanliness of the school site through litter picking, sweeping, and emptying rubbish.
- Report any damage or faults to buildings, facilities, and fixtures/fittings.
- Contribute fully to the school’s safeguarding policy and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive and reliable attitude.
- Minimum age of 18 due to insurance requirements.
- Basic understanding of building operations and maintenance.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role, such as facilities management or customer service.
- Experience with school or educational environments.
- Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and policies.
Compensation & Benefits:
