The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to help deliver healthy and high-quality meals to students, staff, and visitors. This role is essential in supporting the school’s mission to provide a positive and nourishing environment for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve healthy, high-quality meals to students, staff, and visitors in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic working environment in line with food safety standards.
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure the well-being of staff and students.
- Assist with the storage and organization of food supplies and equipment.
- Support the catering team in delivering meals across the school site.
- Monitor and report on food quality and student feedback.
- Ensure compliance with all food hygiene regulations and procedures.
- Contribute to the overall success of the catering provision and school community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Food Hygiene.
- Previous experience in a catering or food service role.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food safety.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment.
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work flexible hours during term time.
Preferred
- Experience working in a school or educational setting.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of healthy and balanced meal planning.
- Flexibility to support additional duties as required.
