The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and organised Catering Manager to lead our catering team and ensure the provision of high-quality, nutritious meals for students and staff. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the school community through food and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the catering team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Oversee the quality, nutrition, and presentation of all food served to students and staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, food hygiene regulations, and school policies.
- Develop and implement menus that promote healthy eating and cater to dietary requirements.
- Monitor and manage budgets, procurement, and inventory to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the school leadership team to support the school’s vision and values.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming catering environment.
- Provide training and development opportunities for catering staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in catering management within an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, nutrition, and menu planning.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends if required.
- Commitment to Catholic values and the school’s mission.
Preferred
- Experience in managing a large catering operation.
- Knowledge of school meal programs and nutritional guidelines.
- Experience with food service software or management systems.
