Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the school canteen to ensure smooth and efficient service
  • Oversee food preparation and service, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
  • Support and supervise students during meal times, promoting a positive and respectful environment
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff and other teams to ensure consistent quality and service
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, schedules, and food safety practices
  • Assist with the training and development of support staff
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • Adapt to changing demands and priorities throughout the day

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role
  • Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and parents
  • Ability to lead and manage a small team effectively
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards

Preferred

  • Experience working in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of school meal programs and nutrition guidelines
