The Opportunity:
A self-employed Cello Teacher is needed to provide high-quality instruction to students across both the Prep and Senior School. This role is ideal for someone passionate about music education and dedicated to nurturing the development of the whole musician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Cello tuition to students of all ages and abilities
- Inspire, challenge, and motivate students to achieve their full potential
- Collaborate with the Director of Music and wider Music Department to support the school’s music program
- Organise and manage your own teaching timetable with support from the Music Administrator
- Support co-curricular ensembles, concerts, and other music events where possible
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience and qualifications in teaching Cello
- Strong passion for music education and ability to inspire students
- Ability to work independently and manage your own timetable
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Preferred
- Experience working with students across a range of ages and abilities
- Experience with co-curricular and performance-based music activities
- Familiarity with the Musicians’ Union guidelines and rates
