The Opportunity:
As CFO and School Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial and operational aspects of the trust and a secondary school. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of education in a growing and forward-thinking institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial affairs of the trust and school, ensuring effective use of resources.
- Develop and implement robust financial plans and risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead and maintain sound financial and business practices across the trust.
- Collaborate closely with the Chief Executive to support the trust’s vision and values.
- Ensure compliance with the Academies Handbook and all relevant financial regulations.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee budget management and accounting systems across both the trust and the school.
- Support the school’s operational needs as the School Business Manager in the short term.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in financial management within the education sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Experience with budget management and accounting systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in spoken English.
Preferred
- Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
- Knowledge of financial planning and reporting in a school environment.
- Experience in leading and developing financial operations.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with financial software and IT systems.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of £64,000-£74,000.
- Additional payment of £8,000 for School Business Manager responsibilities.
