The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Chemistry and Physics Teacher to join our Science Departments and make a positive impact on student learning and development. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced teachers, Early Career Teachers, or recent graduates looking to grow professionally in a supportive and ambitious environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Chemistry and Physics to students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and enthusiasm for the sciences.
  • Contribute to the co-curricular and pastoral life of the school, supporting student well-being and personal development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and share best practices.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to continuously improve teaching practice.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Chemistry and/or Physics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student well-being and pastoral care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the school community.
  • Experience in teaching or a relevant qualification for Early Career Teachers.

Preferred

  • Experience in a boarding school environment.
  • Experience with co-curricular activities and student leadership.
  • Familiarity with the UK curriculum and assessment systems.
  • Experience with mentoring or supporting Early Career Teachers.
