The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Chemistry Teacher to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality education in the IB MYP, DP, and AP programs. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student learning and development within a dynamic and supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in Chemistry aligned with IB MYP, DP, and AP curricula, as well as American Common Core Standards.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student understanding and achievement.
- Integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning to enhance student engagement and outcomes.
- Support students with diverse learning needs, including Inclusion/SEND/EAL, through differentiated instruction and inclusive practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, participate in professional development, and contribute to a positive school culture.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to support academic growth.
- Participate in co-curricular activities and contribute to the school’s mission of fostering well-rounded, globally-minded learners.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in the field of Chemistry education and incorporate innovative teaching methods into the classroom.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- A recognized teaching certification (e.g., Teaching license, PGCE, Teaching Diploma).
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in an international school setting.
- Proven commitment to academic excellence and student success.
Preferred
- A Master’s Degree in Education or a related field.
- Experience teaching IB MYP, DP, and/or AP Chemistry.
- Demonstrable experience in Inclusion/SEND/EAL support.
- Strong CPD portfolio and additional relevant professional qualifications.
- Experience with American Common Core Standards and Advance Placement programs.
