The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated Chemistry Teacher to join our dynamic team, delivering inspiring lessons in iGCSE/A Level and KS3. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on students’ learning and development within a supportive and creative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Chemistry and general Science lessons to students across KS3 and iGCSE/A Level.
  • Inspire and engage students of all abilities, promoting a love of learning and scientific inquiry.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and effective teaching strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Stay up to date with curriculum developments and pedagogical best practices.
  • Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with EAL backgrounds.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree and qualified teacher status.
  • Proven experience teaching Science to students aged 11–18.
  • Strong command of English, with the ability to teach in English.
  • Commitment to delivering high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take on leadership responsibilities.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching iGCSE and A Level Chemistry.
  • Experience working with EAL learners from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with the English National Curriculum and international examination systems.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
