Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality IGCSE and A Level chemistry lessons that are engaging, interactive, and aligned with curriculum standards.
- Design and implement practical experiments that enhance students’ understanding of scientific concepts.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and inquiry-based learning.
- Use technology and innovative teaching methods to support diverse learning styles and improve student outcomes.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure academic success.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the science curriculum and teaching strategies.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to student performance and teaching activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in the subject area applied with a postgraduate teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching IGCSE and A Level chemistry.
- Strong subject knowledge and ability to convey complex scientific concepts clearly.
- Commitment to student-centered, inquiry-based teaching methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- A Master's degree in chemistry or education.
- Experience with international curricula such as IGCSE and A Level.
- Familiarity with technology-enhanced teaching and learning tools.
- Experience in a multicultural or international school setting.
