The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join a dynamic department and support students from Key Stage 3 through to Sixth Form. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is committed to inspiring young minds and contributing to the development of a progressive curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Chemistry across Key Stage 3 to Sixth Form, ensuring high standards of learning and engagement.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the Chemistry curriculum and teaching resources.
- Support the co-curricular programme and participate in extracurricular activities.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to promote student learning and achievement.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to pedagogical development and teaching best practice.
- Assist in the delivery of Science lessons at Key Stage 4 if applicable.
- Uphold the school’s safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong background in Chemistry or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Chemistry across a range of ages and abilities.
- Commitment to student learning, pedagogical development, and teaching best practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and take on a variety of responsibilities.
Preferred
- Experience teaching another Science subject at Key Stage 4.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
- Experience with curriculum development and resource creation.
- Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Willingness to contribute to the school’s co-curricular and pastoral programmes.
