The Opportunity:
As a Chemistry Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping student learning and inspiring a passion for science. This is an opportunity to teach across KS3, KS4, and KS5, contributing to a growing A-Level programme and helping students achieve outstanding academic results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Chemistry across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including GCSE/iGCSE and A Level/IB.
- Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that promote deep conceptual understanding and critical thinking.
- Support students of all abilities to achieve their full academic potential.
- Collaborate with the Science department to develop and implement a cohesive curriculum.
- Foster a classroom environment that is inclusive, nurturing, and focused on student well-being.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives that promote ecological awareness and sustainability.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and science-related events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Native-level English language skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field, with a PGCE in Education and QTS or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Chemistry in the UK or a reputable British school overseas.
- Proven track record of achieving outstanding GCSE and/or A Level examination results.
- Demonstrated ability to create a caring and nurturing classroom environment.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching GCSE, iGCSE, A Level, and IB curricula.
- Strong understanding of project-based and experiential learning approaches.
- Familiarity with ecological education and sustainability principles.
- Experience in outdoor or environmental education.
