Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Chemistry lessons to students across a range of ability levels.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that support student learning and achievement.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school by participating in co-curricular activities and events.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain and enhance the school's strong reputation in Chemistry.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support to ensure continued development.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.
- Support students in preparing for exams and university applications where appropriate.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Chemistry.
- Experience of teaching in a school setting, preferably at the secondary level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take on additional responsibilities where needed.
Preferred
- Experience of teaching A-Level Chemistry.
- Experience in a co-educational or boarding school environment.
- Knowledge of modern teaching methods and technologies.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
