Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons that foster critical thinking and scientific inquiry.
  • Support students in achieving academic excellence through personalized guidance and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the department's curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of assessment and evaluation methods that align with the IB framework.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree plus a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, PGDE or equivalent specialism in Chemistry.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience teaching Secondary Chemistry.
  • A strong understanding of the IB MYP & DP framework and Approaches to Teaching.
  • A genuine passion for working in a non-selective and culturally diverse community.
  • Availability from August 2026.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching the IB Middle Years Programmes & Diploma Programmes.
  • Advanced qualifications in Chemistry or education.
  • A commitment to the IB philosophy and the Learner Profile values.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
