The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Chemistry to students from Year 7 to Sixth Form, including IGCSE and OCR A specification courses.
- Support students in achieving outstanding academic results, with a focus on developing independent thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Contribute to the department’s strong record of success, including high IGCSE and A-level results and Oxbridge university offers.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of a wide range of co-curricular science activities and competitions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine teaching strategies and resources.
- Provide guidance and support for students applying to top universities.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to departmental discussions and wider reading.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree in Chemistry or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to teach Chemistry at both GCSE and A-level.
- Commitment to fostering academic excellence and student independence.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching within a selective or independent school setting.
- Experience with university application support or mentorship.
- Familiarity with the Edexcel IGCSE and OCR A specifications.
- Evidence of involvement in science competitions or extracurricular activities.
